Meet Skittles...

Being a dog lover, myself, I can only imagine the pain and worrying Skittle's mommy went through when she was faced with not being able to take both her dogs with her when she moved.

When I was asked could we keep Skittle for a few months while her mommy got things together, I was a bit hesitant. As much as I want a friend for Reese's, I didn't know if I the household could handle any more mouths too feed. I have been telling Carmesha NO even to a hamster! It's not that we can't afford to feed another pet, it's the responsibility, the care when we are away, cleaning up behind them, making sure they are fed, have clean water....all that weights heavily when bringing in a new pet. No matter how small.

I had met Skittles before so I knew first hand how lovable she is. A tiny, 4 pound bundle of spoiled rotten fur and as adorable as they get. In my heart there was no way I could not say no. But my head needed a little more convincing. I was still thinking...NO MORE MOUTHS TO FEED!!! That was until I got the text that Skittles would have to be put into the pound if her mommy could not find a place for her.

My heart sank.
Just the thought burns my eyes.
I felt her desperation. Any pet owner knows that your furry friends are more then just pets, they quickly become part of your family. I know I would just keel over and die if I ever had to put my Reese in the pound! I hate to even imagine what she must of been going through.

Skittles has a good mommy that I happily consider a friend. I do what I can for my friends so there was no way I would be able to live with myself if she had lost Skittles because I said no... Needless to say, Skittles is staying with us until her mommy can find the perfect home for her and Skittles to live.
Skittles
Skittles has been with us for about a week or so now and has been such a joy. Her pointy ears and big brown eyes makes it hard not to adore her!

Stay Blessed,
Carmen
