It's not fair...Look at her?!

I'm Such a Sucker for a cute face and wet nose!

...but this furry bag of adorableness is just on turd away from being pooch-punted through the uprights!!! Don't get me wrong she is a wonderful dog, small, lazy and oh so cuddly! I have enjoyed her being with us. Most of the time, you hardly even know she is there until you walk into the kitchen or someone knocks at the door. It has been hilarious watching all of her crazy ways, like how she chases and snaps at the water coming out the garden hose or the way she slides sideways on the side of her face across the bed.  However...

for some strange reason she thinks the rug in my craft area is her own personal porta-potty! So imagine my surprise when I go to my desk to settle in and get the creative juices flowing, only to find a Skittle's has beat me to the punch by created her own juicy concoctions right in front my chair... Or when you walk down to stairs to find she has  boobie-trapped the front door with her personally made landmines! Luckily it's tiled or there would be some serious problems. Don't get me wrong, I love the extra security the mines give to keeping intruders away, this day an age it nice to have all the security you can get, especially if its free. But on the other hand, I don't think Skittles understands that we live in a pretty great neighborhood and the extra security precautions are not necessary at the moment.

So I tell her mom...Yes, I know, I'm tattling but what I am I to do. I don't even allow my own dog creative juices to flow onto the carpet. As far as the landmines, as appreciative as I am behind the thought of extra security, we have been doing quite well without them.

My thought was maybe mom could tell me what to do to stop all the extracurricular activities. Maybe we are missing some ritual or routine or maybe she was on a time schedule we are not following. Not so much. Basically mom says she is just being a little sh!t and she can send her to a Yorkie Rescue home. Her situation has changed even more and it maybe the best option for Skittles in the long run (dramatic paraphrasing but you get the jist).

Can we say S. O. S. - Stuck-On-Stupid! Didn't see that coming. Could I just let her send her off to a Rescue home? I know they would take really good care of her. But so drastic!? I can't live with juicy carpets and I don't like landmines.. Mesha would be crushed. Most kids have a teddy or a blanky they fall asleep with at night... Mesha has Skittles because Reeses doesn't want to have anything to do with her at bed time. What in the world would I do with another dog? Even one as small as she? I have a hard enough time as it is getting someone to watch one dog when we go on trips. I can only imagine having to find sitters for two dogs! ahhhh!!! Then you have double-doodie clean up in the yard. Not to mention shots, vet bills, meds, etc, two dogs, twice the bills!!! What to do!? My heart says one thing, but my freedom and carpets says another!  It's not fair...Look at her?!...4lbs of pure cuteness wrapped up in fur and cuddles....I mean really look at the picture and tell my you too wouldn't have problems deciding what to do!

Stay blessed, Carmen
